Our Clinic and COVID-19

Frequently Asked Questions about our Clinic and COVID-19

What are the requirements for masks?

All employees will be wearing masks when near or speaking with a client. Masks are optional for clients.

Can clients come into the building?

Our doors are open to the public. However, we are trying to limit traffic by only allowing one client in the lobby at a time. To allow space between appointments, patients are currently being seen by appointment only at this time. We ask that when picking up medication, dropping off patients or samples, or picking up supplies you wait until the lobby is empty or we can maintain social distance before entering the clinic.  If you are unsure when to enter, feel free to give us a call.

Do you offer Curbside services?

Currently, we are offering curbside services to patients with appointments, along with medication and supply pickup. Give us a call when you arrive if you are interested in curbside services.

What if I am positive for Covid or I am in isolation due to recent exposure to someone with Covid?

If you are Covid positive or under quarantine due to exposure, we ask that you stay in your car and use curbside services. We also request that you wear face covering when staff are at your car.

What is Community Veterinary Clinic doing to keep clients safe?

To follow the CDC’s recommendations, our staff is adding additional space between appointments to minimize client to client contact and allow for social distancing. All staff members will be wearing face masks. After each client our staff is disinfecting exam rooms and all common touch surface areas.

Can I come into the exam room with my pet?

Yes, we welcome you to come into the exam room with your pets.  We are asking that you limit the number of people that come into the clinic for the appointment. If part of your party does not want to come in the exam room, we ask that they wait in the car, so our lobby can be open for other clients.

What happens when I come in with my pet?

We will quickly get a weight on your pet and take you to an exam room to keep our lobby free. Once the appointment is complete, we will ask you to wait in the exam room until the lobby is clear and disinfected before we bring you to the lobby for check out.
